Applications

1) Preservative: Sodium nitrate is a preservative found in processed meats, such as hot dogs, bologna, salami, ham and other deli meats. It prevents the growth of the bacteria that spoils meat and preserves the meat as a red or pink color. Sodium nitrate is not added to chicken or tuna, as there is no red color to preserve.
2) Fertilizer : The nitrogen from sodium nitrate fertilizers are immediately available to plant roots.
3) Glass processing: It chemically strengthened glass which has resistant to scratching, and has improved impact and bending strength, as well as an increased temperature stability
